Following three years off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fneUM is excited to announce that we are seeking motivated delegation members to travel to Nicaragua in the Spring of 2023 and share our passion for raising awareness about Latin American issues. Individuals who wish to particpatie but do not travel to Nicaragua in Spring 2023 will be a valuable asset in planning our organization's fundraising and awareness events on the U of M campus.

 

Participants are selected through an application and interview process carried out by the fneUM Executive Board. The annual quota of delegation members is decided in collaboration with our parent organization; it averages around 15 delegate members. The students are selected based on the multiple criteria as determined by the Executive Board, including willingness to work with others, demonstration of solidarity and compassion, and enthusiasm for the goals and projects of fneUM. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required, and students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Recruitment of new members takes place in the fall of each year.
